Only four elementary classroom teachers and four secondary classroom teachers from each region in Kansas will be recognized as Horizon Award winners! They will officially be recognized at a luncheon at the Kansas Exemplary Educators Network (KEEN) conference in February. Also, they will be invited to participate as special guests in the two-day KEEN conference.

(Basehor-Linwood School District has had five other Horizon Award Winners in the past! Alyssa Larson (GHES) in 2025, Kara (Douglas) Zuk (previously at GRES) in 2016, Katie (Chenoweth) Hoffman (BES) in 2014, Hillary Raple in 2005, and Suzette Downing in 2003.)
