Good morning, Basehor-Linwood families!

School will be held today, but on a 2-hour DELAYED START Wednesday, March 5th due to inclement weather. As a reminder, it is the prerogative of parents/guardians when choosing to keep their students home. Please follow the standard procedure for excusing your student’s absence by notifying the school’s front office if you keep them home. 

In consideration of the safety of our bus riders, students, and staff, all school start times will be delayed by 2 hours. All morning bus pick-up times will also be delayed by 2 hours. Schools will end their day at the regular time and after-school bus routes will operate on their normal schedule.

Two Hour Delay Start Times:
BLHS - 9:40 a.m.
BLMS - 9:55 a.m.
LES - 10:35 a.m.
GRES - 10:45 a.m.
BIS - 10:45 a.m.
GHES - 10:45 a.m.
BES - 10:55 a.m.
ELC Pre-K - No a.m. class; afternoon normal start time

ELC Childcare (for staff) - 8:45 a.m.

2-Hour Delay Transportation

• All K-12 routes run two hours later. 
• After-school bus routes operate on a normal schedule.

Morning Schedule

• Breakfast will not be served on delayed start days. 
• Lunch will be served as close to the normal time as possible.
• No athletic practices or activities before school.  

School Day Schedule

• Class schedules will differ per building, please contact your child’s school if you’d like to know the schedule for the day.
• School ends at the regular time.
• Students enrolled in college classes should follow those schools’ inclement weather decisions.
